The recipient of this award has consistently championed the growth and success of small businesses through tireless efforts in promoting fair practices, providing critical resources, or influencing policy changes. Their impactful advocacy has led to measurable improvements in the business climate, supported economic development, and empowered MWBEs to thrive.

 The MWBE Next Gen Entrepreneur of the Year Award celebrates an emerging leader who exemplifies innovation, vision, and exceptional entrepreneurial spirit in the MWBE community. This award recognizes a young or newly established entrepreneur who has made a significant impact through creative thinking, bold initiatives, and a commitment to excellence. The recipient has demonstrated remarkable potential and achievements in driving their business forward, overcoming challenges, and setting new standards for success.

Additional Eligibility:

• At least fifty-one percent (51%) of the business is owned by one or more persons who are members of at least one of the following groups: Black, Hispanic, Asian American, American Indian, Female, Disabled, or Disadvantaged. 
• Nominee must be 25 years old or younger.

The Minority Entrepreneur of the Year Award honors an exceptional individual who has demonstrated remarkable vision, leadership, and achievement as a minority business owner. This award recognizes an entrepreneur who has not only excelled in their field but has also made significant contributions to their industry and community through innovation, perseverance, and dedication. The recipient is celebrated for their ability to overcome challenges, drive growth, and inspire others with their entrepreneurial spirit, while also making a substantial impact through job creation and workforce development. Their success story serves as a beacon of excellence, showcasing the impact and potential of minority-led businesses in shaping a vibrant and inclusive economic landscape.
